I reached the 6º Dan Jujitsu rank in 2018, Monica is currently the CEO of Sakura Dojo in Portugal since 2011. In 2024 The Sakura Dojo is now the Sakura Training Center and the main training headquarters for Women in Protection. She has worked as a Bodyguard for HNW Families in Europe. Monica's most fulfilling achievement has been teaching self-defense to women in Iran, Kuwait, Jordan, the women in the United Arab Emirates and now teaching at the Women in Protection seminars. Empowering and securing women, and boosting their confidence and self-esteem, this is her passion.

JoAnn Buettner
JoAnn, with a Master of Science in Business and Organizational Security Management, brings 25 years of law enforcement experience, including training, investigations, and personal and transportation protection. She specialized in emergency planning, response operations, preventive security measures, and crime scene investigation. JoAnn also served as a lead traffic instructor, providing training to various law enforcement agencies. She's a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command. With Women in Protection, JoAnn assists with course development and training.
